Taps being played by Sgt. Tarpley. The sound is haunting as all is quiet as the bugler plays what is a heavy sound of so many that  have gone and are now waiting for us. I salute those that have fallen and will always remember and never forget. Not just an emotional time or a one time of year event but a continual memory of those that have paid the ultimate price for us. Our sons, daughters, grand children, husbands, wives, friends, acquaintances, and  strangers. I SALUTE YOU ALL.
The bagpipes play Amazing Grace and the thoughts run deep at the sound. Always something about a bagpipe that brings tears and deep emotions to those that are in deep thought of the past and the years that have gone by.
Ready for Taps.
Gathering at the Huey, bikes of all kinds will participate in this event.
The Christian Motorcycle Association helps greatly with the event of the Memorial Run and this young lady is in prayer for the people that are here this day. Thank God for people who pray.

The Huey Helo is was the backbone it appears of the Viet Nam war. Brought the troops into the hot zones and carried out the wounded. The Air Cav was vital to the survival of the arm forces as well as the River Patrols that patrol the rivers. They all work hand in hand for support.
People always remember the sacrifice that so many have given.
Deputies will receive final instructions on the detail routs and intersections to Block. Sheriff Painer in the white shirt was present.
In Midland County Texas, I am thankful for the Sheriff's Department. These men will provide the escort for the Memorial Run thru the City of Midland to Andrews, TX to continue the service.
Never forget, Always remember. Those brave young people that have gone before us. Salute.
The ride is a ride to remember, not only Viet Nam, but all the wars that our sons and daughters as well as friends have died in. Those that we have known and those that we have not known.
Sgt. Tarpley, Army Vet will play taps at the end of the service.
These are the wreaths that will be placed by loves in honor of those that have given their lives for our freedom and rights in America.
Bill McNeil, Navy Vet/Viet Nam, giving final instructions for the service.
This is the May 28, 2012, Memorial Run in Midland, TX. Over 1,000 people will attend and over 500 motorcycle, scooters, and three wheelers will participate.
