Junction, TX on I-10 about 2 hours north of San Antonio is located the Coopers BBQ branch.
The original is in Llano, TX.
You can see the smoke and slow cooking method on the grill.
Four pits can be used. On the day that I am there they are using two. Look at all that fresh cut wood. That is a key to successful BBQ
The men cooking. Love the smell of smoke from the mesquite wood.
Bob ready to enter the heaven of BBQ
A line is already forming.
Texans like dead things hanging on the wall.
Looks good and you just have to have the original drink of Texas, Dr. Pepper.
The down side of these ribs is they were cooked to fast. They were tough and needed a few more hours. In the rush to make money slow cooking is sacrificed. Sad. Great potential.
I went and gook by the smoke so it would infuse my clothes. It is a guy thing.

Kay, Bob, and I went down to Boerne, TX to see her nephew and on the way to there house, they leave in a gated community, the deer are abundant.
Beautiful creatures that God has made, Yes, sometimes a nuisance to the home owners but it is against the law to shoot them so why not just look at them. We do.
These creatures can jump over a 10 foot fence given the space.

My wife and I decided that since it was bluebonnet season that we would go to the hill country.
On Hwy 71 off Hwy 87 outside Brady Texas towards Austin, TX you can view these wonderful creatures. Texas Longhorns.
The flowers were beautiful and so alive looking.
The horns on these cows can cause some damage.
They love the flowers.
I am glad there was a fence between me and them.
I am sure they are gentle but I still kept my distance.

June 2014 trip to Anna, Texas to see grand kids.
On June 2014 I needed to ride to Anna, Texas to see my grandkids as well as get my bike service. The rest stops in Texas are great. Clean, green, and meets the need at those times that nature calls.
Farm land is becoming more distinct as you near Dallas. Farms going on the market as huge prices. Kids just don't want to farm.
Cattle is great but as the land is sold so goes the cattle and malls will replace hay.
Something about Texas and things being big. Take this 18 foot chicken. Can you see KFC.
Now, if I just can catch this thing and put it in my freezer.

North American Scooter Adventures Memorial Service McKinney, TX 2013.
On this day I visited my family in McKinney, TX and wanted to attend the Memorial Day Tribute which I did. It was very good and a time to remember those that have paid the price with their lives.
We can never forget those that have gone before us. In their journeys they leave a rich history of the past.
Men of old remembering yesterday and the uniforms with men of the present.
Knights of Columbus.
Bikers passing our water. It sure helped for it was hot but cloudy which helped.
This historic Pecan Grove Cemetery was a beautiful place and the city keeps it looking good.
Can never forget the flags that we stand under.
Good group of people showed up for the one and one half hour presentation. That is from start to finish.
I was amazed at these FireFighters from Plano, TX. They were awesome.
The drums could be heard from anywhere in the park and sent chills up me. They were that good.
From Confederates who also were remembered, they were soldiers too.
To the Americans who gave their lives for their beliefs and country. We remember.
