It is carry out and a very small courtyard with two chairs which on this cloudy day suited me well. You
may notice that there are is paved parking lot and for a scooter dude you always hope for no rain. Of course it has not rained in Midland for months.
You know anytime you see a BBQ Pit next to the building that good things are in store for you.
Me as I am ready to try my last place for this week. I have heard about this from my co-workers at Juvenile but never ordered. Oralia San Miguel, I have arrived. And yes, it was that good.
You can see the menu. Imagine that a burger that you will see costing only $3.25 plus tax. Yup, no $7.00 or $9.00 burger here. It will not break the bank.
Why take a picture of a paper bag? Easy, notice the grease that is oozing out from the burger that is wrapped. People, this is the real deal. Remember back n the 50's and 60's and family trips and sometimes dad would stop at a truck stop for a grease burger. You never had one but the day you did your mouth fell in love with the taste. The joy and excitement of flavor that swelled in hour mouth. Not until 50 years later have you found a place like that but today, in Midland, TX. History comes to live. Stop by and check this place out.
The anticipation is heightened as I take this master piece from the womb of good old fashion paper bag, no styrofoam here for a burger.
I have a strong or intense feeling about hamburgers. They are like apply pie and homemade ice-cream. They are American and every culture likes them. There is an enthusiasm that brings out the warmth of good times and memories, eating with family and friends.
This burger is a GREAT BURGER, yes, it is that good, maybe it was the sitting outside smelling the BBQ pit meat cook, the distinctive character or mood of the atmosphere or as some would say the ambiance, well put that all together and you get a delighted time of flashbacks and good eating.
Time to enjoy this GREAT BURGER.
This is the owner and operator "Tank". I told him I would meet with him again when he was not so busy. He cooks, takes the orders and always has a smile. Tank is retired from the City of Midland and had a dream to open a BBQ & Burger stand. He started in 2005. Tank also does BBQ and loves cooking. I will see him again when I do my blog on Great BBQ in West Texas.
The outside porch, I am glad it was cloudy and cool today in West Texas. It made being outside fun.
A view from the front of Tanks.
